  • Vancouver Police investigation results in manslaughter charge

Vancouver man has been charged for killing another man last September, following a months-long Vancouver Police investigation.

The victim, Neil Scarisbrick, was assaulted during an altercation near Columbia and East Hastings streets around 2:30 a.m. on September 7. Scarisbrick died from his injuries.

Jonathan James Payne, 36, is charged with one count of manslaughter. The incident was the 11th of 19 homicides in Vancouver last year.
