Vancouver man has been charged for killing another man last September, following a months-long Vancouver Police investigation.
The victim, Neil Scarisbrick, was assaulted during an altercation near Columbia and East Hastings streets around 2:30 a.m. on September 7. Scarisbrick died from his injuries.
Jonathan James Payne, 36, is charged with one count of manslaughter. The incident was the 11th of 19 homicides in Vancouver last year.
On Saturday night, there were ten people at the party. On Sunday, there were 14 partygoers. In addition to breaking the rules around gatherings, none of the people in the suite were wearing masks or practicing physical distancing.
