Vancouver man has been charged for killing another man last September, following a months-long Vancouver Police investigation.
The victim, Neil Scarisbrick, was assaulted during an altercation near Columbia and East Hastings streets around 2:30 a.m. on September 7. Scarisbrick died from his injuries.
Jonathan James Payne, 36, is charged with one count of manslaughter. The incident was the 11th of 19 homicides in Vancouver last year.
The 79-year-old Nygard awaited an appearance in a Winnipeg courtroom after his Monday arrest by Canadian authorities at the request of the United States.
