Vancouver Police investigates Vancouver's 4th homicide

Vancouver Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man who was stabbed in the Strathcona neigbourhood last month.

Josue Vela was stabbed on street in the area of Princess Avenue and Cordova Street in the afternoon of May 10.

He was rushed to hospital for life-threatening injuries. Mr. Vela died on May 12 as a result of his injuries.

Homicide investigators made an arrest and released an individual pending further investigation. VPD investigators do not believe there is a risk to the public.
