Vancouver Police are investigating the murder of a 37-year-old man last night in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Police were flagged over in the unit block of West Hastings Street for reports of a man possibly suffering from a drug overdose just after 10 p.m. on April 4. A witness saw the man collapse in the middle of the sidewalk.

BC Ambulance Services arrived on scene and found stab wounds while performing chest compressions. The man was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
