Vancouver Police identify 8th homicide victim as Alvis Anjesh Singh

Darpan News Desk Vancouver Police, 06 Jun, 2021 08:37 PM
  • Vancouver Police identify 8th homicide victim as Alvis Anjesh Singh

Police responded to 9-1-1 calls of shots fired across from River Front Park near Kent Avenue and Kerr Street around 10 p.m. on June 4.

Alvis Anjesh Singh, 44, was found deceased in his vehicle in the area.

Investigators believe the suspect’s vehicle, a silver SUV with a sun roof, drove east on Kent Avenue after the shots were heard.

Police are looking for the three people who were seen inside that vehicle.

Minutes later, a burnt out SUV was found by Sexsmith Elementary School near West 59th Avenue and Ontario Street.  The investigation is still in the preliminary stages, but investigators believe the burnt out vehicle is connected to the homicide.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Anyone with information or anyone who has dash cam footage in the area of Langara Golf Course and Sexsmith Elementary School June 4 between 9 and 11 p.m. is asked to call VPD’s Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
