Vancouver Man Driving Wrong Way Collides With Three Vehicles And Ends Up In Hospital

Darpan News Desk, 05 Feb, 2019 08:34 PM

Vancouver Police are investigating a serious collision at Clark Drive and Venables Street that occurred this afternoon. One man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Just before noon, a blue Honda Civic was travelling south on Clark Drive in the lanes for northbound traffic. It clipped a southbound grey Subaru and a northbound black Infinity. The Civic then rear-ended a southbound delivery truck at a high rate of speed.

The lone occupant and driver of the Civic, a 23-year-old Vancouver man, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Subaru – an adult driver and a small child – were transported to hospital as a precautionary measure. The occupants of the delivery truck and the Infinity were not physically injured.

The intersection of Clark and Venables was closed for several hours, as the VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit gathered evidence. It has since been re-opened and the investigation is ongoing.
