Vancouver Man Dies In Downtown Motorcycle Crash, VPD Investigates

Darpan News Desk, 25 Nov, 2019 06:47 PM

Vancouver Police are investigating after a 44-year-old Vancouver man died in a motorcycle crash downtown.

Just after 12 p.m., the driver was heading east on Nelson Street, near Granville Street, when for unknown reasons he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved.

VPD officers and BC Ambulance Service responded. The driver was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators from VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit are working to determine the cause of the crash.

    Speed was likely a factor.

This is Vancouver’s 12th motor vehicle fatality of 2019.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has video, is asked to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
