Vancouver Island Police search for missing woman

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 16 Oct, 2024 04:40 PM
  • Vancouver Island Police search for missing woman

Police on Vancouver Island are appealing to the public for information that could help them find a woman reported missing more than two years ago.

R-C-M-P say they believe Amber Manthorne's disappearance in July 2022 was the result of foul play, and it's unlikely the 40-year-old will be found alive.

Police have now named Manthorne's ex-boyfriend Justin Hall as a person of interest in her disappearance, but they say he was found dead last year in Merritt.

The Mounties say they're releasing his name along with surveillance video showing Manthorne's white 2021 Jeep Compass and a timeline of the vehicle's movements in Port Alberni around the time she went missing in hopes someone will come forward with information to help the investigation.
