Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 28 Mar, 2019 05:22 PM

SURREY, B.C. — RCMP say a 15-year-old boy is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing an SUV in Surrey, B.C.

The Mounties say the vehicle hit a tree and caught fire in the early hours of Thursday morning.

They say witnesses pulled him and a 16-year-old male passenger from the burning vehicle.

The passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

    Both teens are from Surrey.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages, but they believe speed may have been a contributing factor.
