Two 17-year-olds have died in a crash 13 kilometres east of Quesnel.

A statement from Quesnel R-C-M-P say the youths -- a male and female --died early Sunday morning.

Their vehicle veered off the Barkerville Highway and hit a tree.

Police haven't released the names of the teens or said who was driving, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
