Two Teen Girls Dead After Truck Rollover In Rural Manitoba

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 02 Aug, 2016 12:19 PM
WINNIPEG — Two teenagers are dead and three others injured after a pickup truck crashed in Manitoba.

The RCMP say they were called just before 8 a.m. Saturday to a single-vehicle rollover outside of Bloodvein First Nation, about 250 km north of Winnipeg.

Officers say nine people were in the truck when it crashed, some of them in the truck's bed.

Police say two girls from Bloodvein, aged 13 and 14, were killed and three other passengers suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries and are now in stable condition.

The RCMP say they believe the truck was taken without the owner's consent.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
