Two Suspects Arrested In Targeted Killing Of 40-Year-Old Man In Chilliwack

The Canadian Press, 16 Jul, 2016 12:39 PM
CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Homicide investigators say two suspects are now in custody in connection with a man's death in Chilliwack earlier this week.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says David "Yoda'' McKay and Cydnie Markel-Rempel were arrested Friday afternoon and thanked the public for its help.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound had issued a statement on Thursday with a plea for assistance in locating the two suspects, who she says have no fixed address.

She says police responded to an incident in a Chilliwack home on Wednesday morning and found 40-year-old John Anderson in medical distress.

He was immediately transported to hospital but did not survive the injuries he sustained and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

Pound says his death is believed to be targeted and the two suspects had fled the scene before first responders arrived.
