Two People In Hospital Following Bloody Altercation In Abbotsford

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 04 May, 2015 09:00 AM

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Police say two people are in hospital following a bloody assault in Abbotsford early Sunday.

Abbotsford police say they received multiple calls about a loud altercation underway in a home (on Crescent Way near Switzer Avenue) shortly before 3 a.m.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the alleged assault took place between a 55-year-old man and a 25-year-old intruder.

MacDonald said the intruder has a considerable history with police and that he had entered the residence with a machete, bear spray and an imitation firearm.

He described the scene as chaotic.

Police have yet to determine a motive for the attack, but MacDonald said robbery appeared likely. There's no word on charges. (CTV News)
