VERNON, B.C. — Two teenagers from British Columbia's north Okanagan are facing second-degree murder charges a week after a man's body was found in a park.
Forty-two-year-old Jason Hardy was found dead near a lawn-bowling facility in Vernon's Polson Park Aug. 26.
Mounties say the 14- and 18-year-old males who live in the Greater Vernon area were arrested on Monday.
They say the offence appears to have been targeted and the public is not at risk.
Police say the two accused were expected to appear in a local court on Wednesday and officers are looking for anyone who has unreported information.
The RCMP has said previously that Hardy was known to police.
