Trial To Start For Regina Couple Accused In Abuse Of 2 Sisters, One Who Died

The Canadian Press, 18 Jan, 2016 10:35 AM
REGINA — A trial for a Regina couple accused in the death of a four-year-old girl and the neglect of her two-year-old sister is to start with jury selection today.

Tammy and Kevin Goforth are charged with second-degree murder and with criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

The girls can't be identified because of a court order.

Regina police allege the girls were abused and neglected while they were living in the Goforths' home in August 2012.

The children were in the couple's care, but the couple are not the biological parents.

Testimony is scheduled to last three weeks.
