The World Travel and Tourism Council says a return of overseas visitors to Canada's biggest cities will fuel a big rebound in Canada's travel and tourism sector this year.
It's predicting the industry will pump 162.6-billion dollars into the economy, up more than 17 per cent from last year.
If that happens, the travel and tourism sector could create about 90-thousand new jobs, recovering nearly all the positions scrapped during the pandemic.

Vancouver city council has approved changes to zoning in select areas of the Cambie Street corridor that it says will make it easier and faster to build up to 16-hundred townhouses. This change will allow applicants to proceed directly to a development permit application for townhouses in the approved areas.
