Toronto Police Identify Victim Of Deadly East-End Shooting As 38-Yr-Old Theepa Seevaratnam

    On Friday, March 13, 2020, at 9:55 a.m., police responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble in the Brimley Road and Pitfield Road area.


    It is reported that:


    - upon arrival, officers located two women suffering from gunshot wounds


    Both women were taken to a local trauma centre. One woman was pronounced deceased. The other woman is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.


    The deceased has been identified as Theepa Seevaratnam, 38, of Toronto.

     


    An autopsy was conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2020, and the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the chest.


    A suspect has been described as male, black, 5’8” to 6’, with a medium build, short hair, wearing light pants and a dark jacket.
