  • Toronto man Amritpal Dhillon arrested in fraud investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a fraud investigation. It is alleged that between February 2018 through to January 2020, a man convinced family and friends to invest in his business venture which promised a 45% interest return.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Amritpal Dhillon, 53, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:

1. five counts of Fraud Over $5,000

2. five counts of Possession of Proceeds Over $5,000.

He is next scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday February 19, 2021.

Police believe there are more victims.
