The Canadian Press Darpan, 04 Sep, 2014 07:19 PM
QUESNEL, B.C. - Three people have died in a head-on collision on Highway 97 near Quesnel, B.C.

RCMP say the crash was reported about 7 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a pickup truck travelling northbound crossed the centre line and smashed into an oncoming SUV, killing the occupants of both vehicles.

A 48-year-old Kelowna man driving the pickup and two women in the SUV, both in their 70s and residents of Kelowna and New Hazelton, died at the scene.

Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

    However, dense fog limited visibility.
