Three dead in apartment fire southwest of Montreal

    LES COTEAUX, Que. — A man and woman and one of their children are dead after a fire at an apartment building southwest of Montreal early this morning.

    Quebec provincial police say two other children were seriously injured in the blaze.

    The fire broke out at about 2:30 a.m. in the community of Les Coteaux.

    According to a regional fire official, the two adults and three children were unconscious when they were removed and transported to hospital.

    The fire was extinguished by 6 a.m.
