Telus Posts 4q Revenue Of $2.41 Billion, Result Beats Expectations

    BURNABY, British Columbia (AP) _ Telus Corp. (TU) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $195.5 million.
     
    On a per-share basis, the Burnaby, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 33 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 40 cents per share.
     
    The telecommunications company posted revenue of $2.41 billion in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.37 billion.
     
    For the year, the company reported profit of $1.04 billion, or $1.72 per share. Revenue was reported as $9.37 billion.
     
    Telus expects full-year earnings to be $1.80 to $1.92 per share, with revenue in the range of $9.55 billion to $9.65 billion.
     
    Telus shares have climbed 3.5 per cent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 16 per cent in the last 12 months.
