Telecommunication theft in Abbotsford

Police say they're investigating an increase in thefts targeting Telus communication lines in the Abbotsford area.

A statement from Abbotsford police says the thefts have interrupted 9-1-1 service and resulted in 100-thousand-dollars' worth of damage.

Police are asking for the public's help in providing dash-camera footage related to the two most recent thefts.

They're asking anyone who was driving along McCallum Road near Vye Road on October 17th between 5 and 7:30 a-m or along Sumas Mountain Road near McKee Road on October 23rd around the same time to call them.

Complex shoplifting in Metro Vancouver

Two individuals involved in a series of complex shoplifting cases in Metro Vancouver have pleaded guilty and were sentenced for their roles. Surrey Mounties say 51-year-old Nicoleta Rusu and 39-year-old Emil Marian Stan stole goods such as high-end fragrances and athletic clothing valued at 53-thousand dollars over a six-month span.

Road rage incident in Richmond

Police in Richmond are on the lookout after a road rage incident resulted in the occupant of one car opening fire on the driver of another vehicle. Richmond R-C-M-P say they responded to a call of shots fired on Hollybridge Way on the evening of June 28th.
