Suspect In Custody After Man With Serious Injuries Dies In Courtenay, B.C.

    COMOX VALLEY, B.C. — A suspect has been arrested in the in the death of a 23-year-old man in Courtenay, B.C.
     
    Comox Valley RCMP say detectives have made significant progress toward identifying the people involved in the man's death late Tuesday.
     
    Officers responded to an incident in downtown Courtenay just after 10:30 p.m., where they discovered the man suffering serious injuries.
     
    Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
     
    The police say the major crime section has also made strides in determining the cause of the man's fatal injuries.
     
    They are still trying to notify family members and have not released the man's identity.
