Police in New Westminster say a suspect has been arrested after witnesses reported a taxi driving erratically in a busy area, striking other cars and pedestrians.
They say officers flooded the area and used their vehicles to block the taxi in, arresting its driver, who was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages, but they believe the taxi was stolen in a carjacking incident.

Surrey School District saw more than 2,200 new students enroll this past September, bringing the student population to over 78,0000. Based on population estimates, enrolment is projected to continue increasing at a rapid pace in almost every community.

The official said that they have also recovered 42 mobile phones, nine laptops and inferior quality medicines and data of 'Hakim Suleman group'.
