Suspect arrested in ATM theft

Kelowna R-C-M-P have a suspect in custody in connection to an A-T-M theft at a business earlier this month. 

R-C-M-P say a male suspect, who's known to police, is believed to be responsible after he and a female suspect were seen using the same stolen pickup truck used in the "brazen" robbery. 

Police confirmed the truck used was reported stolen from out front of a West Kelowna home in late October.

 The female suspect has been released on conditions.

Authorities in northeastern New York state are searching by ground and air for a 22-year-old Quebec man who failed to return from a hike in the Adirondack Mountains over the weekend. The Retail Council of Canada is calling on the federal government to intervene in a postal strike it says is putting businesses and their workers in jeopardy. The organization representing 54,000 storefronts said Tuesday that the work stoppage at Canada Post is making it harder for retailers to meet customer needs and stay in business.
