Surrey-Delta Shootings: Two More Arrested, Drugs Seized In Ongoing Gang Dispute

    DELTA, B.C. — Police say they have arrested two more men as part of an investigation into an ongoing gang dispute in suburban Vancouver.
     
    Acting Sgt. Sarah Swallow of the Delta police says in a news release that more than 50 municipal and RCMP officers executed four search warrants on homes in nearby Surrey and Langley on Thursday.
     
    She says police seized a large amount of currency and illegal drugs.
     
    Swallow says police will be recommending drug-related charges to Crown counsel.
     
    More than 30 shootings believed to be related to a clash between two drug gangs have rocked Surrey and Delta in recent months.
     
    The violence has prompted the federal government to promise 100 new Mounties for the area.
