Surrey Rocked By Gunfire Again, Two Men Shot

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 26 Jun, 2015 10:58 AM
SURREY, B.C. — At least two people were taken to hospital after an overnight shooting on Iona Place near 123A Street in Surrey, B.C.

Residents reported hearing gunshots late Thursday night, but RCMP say it is not known how many shots were fired.

There is now a heavy police presence in a residential neighbourhood close to a secondary school.

Investigators say it is unclear whether the shooting is related to over a dozen others that have been linked to a gang turf war involving drugs.

Mounties have not released any further information.
