Surrey RCMP Officer Allegedly Involved In 'Creep Catchers' Sting Facing Criminal Charges

Darpan News Desk , 09 Sep, 2016 03:23 PM
Surrey RCMP says one of its officer is facing criminal charges and an internal code of conduct review after he was targeted in a Creep Catchers sting.

The charges have yet to be approved by Crown Counsel, therefore his name has not been released yet.

Earlier this week, Surrey Creep Catchers posted a video to Facebook, with an officer allegedly meeting up with an underage girl.

Police also confirmed that the officer in question is not Constable Dan Johnson, as speculated in the sting.

“Irresponsibly sharing something on social media could open you up to a lawsuit at any time. So people have to be very careful,” said BC RCMP during the briefing
