Surrey RCMP is looking for the owner of coin sets

Darpan News Desk Surrey RCMP, 03 Nov, 2021 08:50 PM
  • Surrey RCMP is looking for the owner of coin sets

Surrey RCMP is looking for the owner of coin sets seized during a 2018 investigation.

In December 2018, Surrey RCMP located a coin collection in a vehicle during a criminal investigation. The occupants of the vehicle did not claim ownership of the coins, leading police to believe they were stolen. Police were unable to locate any reports of lost/ stolen coins matching the description of the collection located.

Although this coin collection may not have significant monetary value, it may hold sentimental value to its rightful owner. Says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Corporal Vanessa Munn. Looking at the collection it is apparent that someone invested time into organizing and cataloging the coins.

If you had a coin, collection stolen prior to December 19, 2018 and you believe these coins could be yours please contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502. Claimants will be required to provide an accurate description of the collection to prove ownership.
