Surrey Police Release Sketch Of South Asian Man Who Tried To Force His Way Into Home

    SURREY, B.C. — Police in Surrey, B.C., have released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with a home invasion involving a 15-year-old girl.
     
    RCMP say a man approached the girl outside her home and tried to force his way inside.
     
    The girl struggled and called out for help, and then the suspect ran away.
     
    Mounties say she was not injured, but emotionally distraught.
     
    The suspect is described as a South Asian man between 25 to 30, with a medium build and unkempt hair.
     
    RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann says police do not believe the attempted home invasion was a random act and that they have taken steps to ensure the victim's safety.
