  • Surrey Mayor & Councillors visit Sunrise Kitchens

Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum & City Councillors Doug Elford, Laurie Guerra, & Mandeep Nagra visited the newly expanded 80,000 Sunrise Kitchens complex on April 7.  

 

 

Visibly impressed with the modernized equipment at the Sunrise Kitchens, the largest cabinet making plant in Surrey providing employment to over 200 people.

               

 

The Mayor congratulated the CEO Paul Bhogal and assured all help in acknowledging the vast complex as the pride of Surrey .

Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos says about 27 of the 130 passengers on the Sunwing party flight to Mexico have returned to Canada. Duclos told reporters today the returning travellers were interrogated at the border, tested for COVID-19 and had their documents, including PCR test results, verified by authorities.
