NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. — A 49-year-old Surrey, B.C., man will be sentenced next week in court after pleading guilty to a raft of offences related to break-ins at two SkyTrain stations.
New Westminster Police say Peter Hogan has admitted to a break-in on March 1, at the 22nd Street station and a similar break-in two days later at the Braid Street station.
In both cases, ATM machines in the stations were also robbed.
Hogan was arrested while running along the elevated SkyTrain tracks outside the Braid station, while trying to avoid arrest.
Police say a subsequent investigation turned up break-in tools and a large sum of cash.
Hogan will be sentenced Nov. 12 on a dozen charges, including two counts of mischief under $5,000, one count of theft over $5,000 and a count of breaking out after entering to commit an offence.
