Surrey RCMP is informing the public of an on-going sexual assault investigation, and is asking any additional witnesses to come forward.

This investigation began in March 2021, when Surrey RCMP received a report alleging that a woman was sexually assaulted while receiving a massage at Shri Professional Massage, located at 1105-7360 137 Street.

On June 22, 2021. 56-year-old Shri Rampol of Surrey was arrested on a warrant for sexual assault. The BC prosecution Service approved a charge of sexual assault and he was released from custody by the court with conditions including not to perform any massages on any female clients or patients unless in the presence of a third party female who has knowledge of his release conditions.

Police believe that there may be further witnesses in the community with information that may assist this investigation. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at (604) 599 0502. You will be connected with officers from the Special Victims Unit.

We know that it can be difficult for people to come forward and speak to police about sexual assaults, says Constable Sarbjit Sangha, media relations officer for Surrey RCMP. We want to assure the people who come forward with information that if you need support through the investigation and court process, we can engage our Victim Services for assistance.
