Surrey Man Killed In Overnight Head-On Collision In Delta

Darpan News Desk, 29 Mar, 2017 10:42 AM
VANCOUVER — Separate head-on crashes in British Columbia between cars and tractor-trailers claimed two lives in as many days.

A 40-year-old Surrey man was killed early Wednesday morning when his car veered into the path of a big rig in Delta, south of Vancouver.

Delta Police say the victim died on the way to hospital.

The driver of the transport truck was not physically hurt, but police say he was being treated for shock.

RCMP in Golden say an unidentified man died at about 7:30 Tuesday morning when a car stolen in Calgary crossed the centre line and slammed head-on into an oncoming tractor-trailer just west of the Alberta boundary.

The driver of the truck was not hurt and the causes of both crashes remain under investigation. (The Canadian Press, CHNL)
