  • Surrey Hospitals Foundation Appoints Harp Dhillon as New Board Chair

The Surrey Hospitals Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Harp Dhillon as their new Board Chair, as he was voted in by the Board of Directors at last week’s Annual General Meeting.

Harp is taking over the role from Ron Knight who is stepping down after 11 years serving as Board Chair since 2010. Harp has been on the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2014 and served as the Vice-Chair for the past year.

 “Harp is an accomplished leader and financial expert who brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and passion from his proven track record in investment and wealth management. We look forward to his leadership as we continue to grow our fundraising efforts to positively impact the health care of our local communities,” says Jane Adams, President and CEO of the Surrey Hospitals Foundation.

 “We would also like to thank Ron Knight for his tremendous support, dedication and commitment leading our Foundation to achieve monumental fundraising goals over the last 11 years.”

Harp Dhillon is the Vice-President & Director at RBC Dominion Securities Inc. With over two decades of experience, Harp has built one of the most highly regarded financial management teams at RBC Dominion Securities, which has consistently ranked in the top five per cent in the country.

 “The Surrey Hospitals Foundation plays a huge role in supporting and funding life-changing health care innovations and programs for the more than 1.9 million residents who reside in the Fraser Health region,” says Harp Dhillon, new Chair of the Surrey Hospitals Foundation.

 “I am incredibly passionate about philanthropy and being an active member of our community. I look forward to working with the Foundation and our Board of Directors to expand our connections with our local communities to reach new levels of fundraising success and make a difference in improving people’s lives.”

The Surrey Hospitals Foundation is also welcoming back Larry Thomas who is returning for a second term as Vice-Chair, Kristine Bodnark as Vice-Chair and Treasurer, and Jenifer Lee who is joining the Finance Committee.
