Surrey Drive-By Shooting Sends Two Men To Hospital, RCMP Investigate

Darpan News Desk, 13 Jun, 2015 02:04 PM
SURREY, B.C. — Two men are in hospital after a targeted drive-by shooting in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP say they received several reports of shots fired (near 57 Avenue and 152 Street) at around 10 p.m. Friday.

Officers found two men suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds and they were transported to a regional trauma hospital.

RCMP say witness reports suggest a dark coloured sedan fled from the area immediately after the shooting occurred.

Investigators have not conclusively identified the men but will attempt to speak with them once they have been treated.

Mounties say the gunfire was not random, but would not say whether it is linked to the 17 other shootings that have been identified as a low-level drug trade turf war.
