Surrey council is voting tonight on what the city calls its largest-ever road project.
The 72 Avenue Corridor project includes an extension from 152 Street to Highway 15 and has an estimated price tag of 150-million dollars.
Mayor Brenda Locke says in a statement that the improvements would ease congestion by enhancing east-west connectivity in Surrey.
Tonight, Council will vote on the 72 Avenue Corridor project, which marks the largest road investment in the City's history. The project includes a road extension from 152 Street to Highway 15.

If approved, the project has been divided into three stages, with the last of the work expected to wrap up in 2027.
