SURJIT TOOR Of Vancouver Charged With Murder In 2017 Murder Of MANINDER SINGH BRAICH

    Vancouver Police have made an arrest in a 2017 homicide that claimed the life of 38-year-old Vancouver resident Maninder Singh Braich.


    Just after midnight on February 9, 2017 police responded to a report of an injured man at a home near Prince Albert Street and East 49th Avenue. He was rushed to hospital, and died a short time later.


    Detectives from the VPD’s Homicide Unit identified Surjit Toor, 56, of Vancouver, as the person responsible for the death. Crown Counsel approved a second-degree murder charge against Toor on January 15, 2019.


    He has been arrested and remains in custody.
