Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 28 Jul, 2023 09:36 AM
  • Street expansion coming for Surrey

City council in Surrey has awarded a contract for designing the widening of 132nd Street between 72nd Avenue to 80th Avenue.

The city says in a news release that the expansion to four lanes aims to improve traffic and safety.

It awarded the contract to Aplin and Martin Consultants Limited earlier this week, setting the spending limit at 372-thousand dollars.

Design work is set to begin in August and be finished by October 2024, with construction expected to begin in 2025.
