Stabbing inside Guildford Mall

A confrontation inside a Surrey shopping mall has ended with one person seriously hurt and two others in custody.

R-C-M-P say the were called late yesterday afternoon to reports of a fight inside the Guildford Town Centre mall.

A statement from the Mounties says officers found the injured person when they arrived and the two suspects were arrested at the scene.

Initial information indicates that there was an altercation between parties which escalated to one person being stabbed.

Investigators are asking for witnesses as they try to determine what happened.

The B-C Prosecution Service says a man has been charged with eight counts of mischief related to vandalism in Vancouver's Chinatown neighbourhood. The service says seven counts are related to graffiti, including three incidents on cultural property, and one is related to the defacing of a war memorial.

The service says the ambulance had its lights and sirens on as it transported the patient between hospitals, accompanied by a nurse escort and three paramedics.
