Son, 23, Arrested After 'Sudden Death' Of Middle-Aged Brampton Woman

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 16 Aug, 2015 12:54 PM
BRAMPTON, Ont. — A 23-year-old man has been arrested a few hours after his mother's body was discovered in a home in Brampton, Ont., Peel police say.

The death of the middle-aged woman is being treated as a homicide, police said, after paramedics were called to respond to a "sudden death" on Saturday morning.

The Peel police Twitter stream referred to the man as the "accused" but there was no word of charges late Saturday.

Investigators said names of the man and his mother were being withheld until family members have been notified.
