Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Fort Nelson region.
It says a Pacific frontal system will bring about 10 centimetres of snow starting this afternoon.
The weather office says the snow will persist until tomorrow morning.
It is warning people travelling through the region to be prepared to adjust driving as visibility may be reduced at times.
During the visit, Hussen announced $17.25 million in funding for humanitarian assistance including clean water and food, protection services, sanitation and health services.
