Six People Arrested in Metro Vancouver After Mounties Recover Five Stolen Vehicles

The Canadian Press , 11 Sep, 2014 02:55 PM
Mounties in Metro Vancouver have arrested six men who allegedly stole five vehicles within 24 hours.

Sgt. Dale Carr with Surrey RCMP says officers were watching the home of a prolific property crime offender last Friday, where five reportedly stolen vehicles were parked.

During the stakeout, police saw three men leave the home, each in a stolen vehicle.

After the men came back to the residence, they left in a fourth vehicle, returning shortly after.

Carr says police then entered the home, arrested nine people and recovered the five stolen vehicles, which included a 2010 Hyundai Genesis and a 1996 GMC Jimmy.

Six people have been charged with various property and break and enter crimes, including 20-year-old Mackenzie Russell, four youths, and a man who police have not identified to protect the investigation.
