Six Fredericton Schools On Lockdown While Police Search For 'Person Of Interest'

    Fredericton police say six schools in the city's north side are on lockdown as a precaution while they search for a "person of interest" seen carrying what may be a firearm case.
     
    Police say the person was seen crossing a walking trail on St. Mary's Street Thursday morning.
     
    He's described only as about five-feet-ten-inches tall with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing jeans and a dark jacket or hoodie.
     
    Police say he may be carrying a hard-shelled firearm case.
     
    Leo Hayes High School, Gibson Neill Elementary, École Les Éclaireurs, Devon Middle School, Devon Park Christian School and Harold Sappier have all been locked down.
