Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 02 Jun, 2016 11:38 AM
Fredericton police say six schools in the city's north side are on lockdown as a precaution while they search for a "person of interest" seen carrying what may be a firearm case.

Police say the person was seen crossing a walking trail on St. Mary's Street Thursday morning.

He's described only as about five-feet-ten-inches tall with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing jeans and a dark jacket or hoodie.

Police say he may be carrying a hard-shelled firearm case.

Leo Hayes High School, Gibson Neill Elementary, École Les Éclaireurs, Devon Middle School, Devon Park Christian School and Harold Sappier have all been locked down.
