RCMP say that an earlier shots fired call at a residence in the 19400-block of 71A Avenue that occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Monday is now believed to be related to fireworks.


Earlier mounties were seen on scene at a residence in the Cloverdale area after receiving a report of shots fired at a residence in the 19400-block of 71A Avenue at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Monday.


A number of individuals from within the residence were initially detained as part of this ongoing investigation.


A perimeter was set up around the house, and the surrounding neighbourhood was evacuated. Traffic was diverted and 195 Street closed in both directions.
