Burnaby R-C-M-P say a four-day operation targeting shoplifting at the Metrotown shopping centre led to more than 60 arrests earlier this month.
They say 12 of the people arrested had outstanding warrants from across the Lower Mainland, including one person who had been wanted for failure to comply with the province's sex offender registry.
Police say officers and security personnel also recovered nearly 15-thousand dollars worth of stolen merchandise and returned it to local businesses.
The Mounties say the operation led to police sending 21 new potential criminal charges to Crown prosecutors for consideration.
Police on Vancouver Island are warning Swifties about an online scam after several people lost money while trying to secure tickets for Taylor Swift concerts through Facebook groups. Prince George R-C-M-P say a man has been arrested following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking at a local residence. Mounties say the man was seen leaving his home in a stolen vehicle during an investigation last week and officers later arrested the driver, who was identified as 42-year-old James Alan Webb.
