CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Chilliwack Friday and they asking anyone with information to come forward.

In a press release, the RCMP says officers responded to a report of an individual suffering a gunshot wound and found the woman at a residence.

She was taken to hospital in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries on Saturday.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team identified the woman as 42-year-old Christine Denham of Chilliwack.

It says investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act and they have not identified any links to gang conflict.
