  • Shooting incident at Coquitlam Town Centre Mall sends one man to hospital

Another shooting this week is being investigated. Coquitlam RCMP confirmed a shooting near Coquitlam Town Centre Mall on Monday at approximately 4:06 p.m.

One male victim is being treated for stab wounds in hospital and Mounties say that incident is connected to the shooting.

Officers were on scene gathering information from witnesses. 

Coquitlam RCMP and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit is trying to determine if there are connections to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict and any recent spate of shootings that have taken place. 

On Monday, April 19, 20-year-old Bailey McKinney, a Coquitlam resident, was shot and killed on a basketball court at Town Centre Park in front of dozens of witnesses.
